BlueSkyNews.com Desktop Photo of the Month
Our thanks to Gary Petty for this fantastic January photo of America's Cup Harbor in the early morning fog. Gary rubs it in a bit by saying "This is an example of the view from my sailboat's cockpit every morning at Sun Harbor. One of the many reasons
I love boats!"

To put this photo or any other photo on this page on your desktop, follow the steps 1 -4 on the left; then Right-click on the photo. Enjoy! Courtesy of BlueSkyNews.com.
It's easy and fun to change the photo on your PC desktop every once in a while. You can use one of your own favorite digital photos, or one of the BlueSkyNews.com photos on this page.

Here are step-by-step instructions. We don't want to insult anyone's intelligence, but we've written these instructions assuming that the reader is using Windows XP and knows very little about changing their desktop photo.
  1. Under the Start Button, click on My Computer
  2. Double-click on Local Disk (C:)
  3. Under the File pull-down menu, select New > Folder
  4. You'll notice that the words "New Folder" are highlighted. Do not move your mouse or click on anything, just type the words Desktop-Photos at this point to give the new folder a name.
  5. Click back on this page
  6. Right-Click to select the photo you want to use
  7. Click on Save-Target-As
  8. Under the Save-In pull-down menu select Local Disk (C:)
  9. Select your new Desktop-Photos folder
  10. Click Save - That will download the selected photo from our web site to your new Desktop-Photos file
  11. Now - to display the new photo on your desktop, close all of your applications until you see just your normal plain desktop pattern or photo.
  12. Right-Click anywhere on your desktop
  13. Click on Properties
  14. Click on the Desktop tab
  15. Click on the Browse button
  16. Under the look in pull-down menu select Local Disk (C:)
  17. Select your new Desktop-Photos folder
  18. Click on the photo you want to use
  19. Click-on Apply - Then enjoy!

To use any of your own personal photos on your desktop, just put them in your Desktop-photos folder and follow the same procedure from step 12 onward.
